The Methodist Church is committed to safeguarding as an integral part of its life and ministry. Safeguarding is about the action the Church takes to promote a safer culture.

Safeguarding people is a core part of the URC’s mission. We safeguard the integrity of creation, and we all walk the way together to ensure there is a sustained community of care where everyone – particularly the most vulnerable – find a place of love, pastoral care and support

Portholme Church is committed to providing a safe environment for all people visiting or using our premises. As the Trustees For Methodist Church Purposes (TMCP) are the Custodian Trustees for the property, we follow the safeguarding policy of the Goole and Selby Methodist Circuit.
